Golden Living is proud to congratulate the 59 LivingCenters that have earned a Five-Star Overall Rating this month from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System rates the nation's Skilled Nursing Facilities on a one- to five-star scale, based on the results of on-site surveys to determine their compliance with Federal and State regulations during a twelve-month period. Facilities are rated on the results of their performance in complying with healthcare standards, quality measures, and staffing, with only the top 10 percent of nursing homes being eligible for the Five-Star Rating. Established in 2008, the rankings reflect federal criteria set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and are posted on the CMS Nursing Home Compare website. The CMS Five-Star Rating System is designed to promote transparency and accountability across the industry, and assist consumers in making choices — which Golden Living supports. Golden LivingCenter-Reedley is proud to be one of the facilities recognized for our 5-star rating!

Alzheimer's Awareness Walk/Run

5K (3.1 mi.) Run 8 a.m. 2 Mile Walk/Run 8 a.m. ¼ Mile Kid's Race 9 a.m.
Senior Living Network's Alzheimer's Awareness Walk/Run was launched in 2008 as a fundraising event designed to raise money for local non-profit organizations that serve Alzheimer's patients and their families in the Central Valley, and to increase awareness of the disease. 100% of these proceeds stay here in the Valley, helping our local families with this devastating disease, evidence that your support truly makes a difference. Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia affect over an estimated 61,000 families in the San Joaquin Valley.
The event has traditionally been held at Woodward Park in Fresno; however, this year, the Senior Living Network has expanded their awareness efforts and will be hosting a second walk/run in Tulare County. Golden LivingCenter-Reedley is a proud sponsor of the Senior Living Network and is encouraging anyone who is interested in participating in the walk/run to support Alzheimer's research to contact Rebecca Hankey, Executive Director In Training, for further registration or sponsorship information.
